The title complex, [{Os(CO)(CHP)}(CHO)], is a centrosymmetric mol-ecular loop consisting of two Os-Os sawhorse units linked by two adamantane di-carboxyl-ato bridges. It was synthesized by the microwave-mediated reaction between Os(CO) and adamantane-1,3-di-carb-oxy-lic acid. In contrast to the related complex [{Os(CO)}(μ-adamantane-1,3-di-acetate)], the metal-metal axes within each mol-ecule are oriented parallel rather than perpendicular to one another. The crystal structure exhibits cavities that contain residual electron density peaks, but it was not possible to unambiguously identify the solvent therein. The contribution of the disordered solvent mol-ecules to the scattering was removed using the SQUEEZE (Spek (2015 ▸). . C, 9-18) routine in [Spek (2020 ▸). . E, 1-11]. These solvent mol-ecules are not considered in the given chemical formula and other crystal data.

The glycosaminoglycan hyaluronan (HA) is a ubiquitous, nonsulfated polysaccharide with diverse biological roles mediated through its interactions with HA-binding proteins (HABPs). Most HABPs belong to the Link module superfamily, including the major HA receptor, CD44, and secreted protein TSG-6, which catalyzes the covalent transfer of heavy chains from inter-α-inhibitor onto HA. The structures of the HA-binding domains (HABDs) of CD44 (HABD_CD44) and TSG-6 (Link_TSG6) have been determined and their interactions with HA extensively characterized.

Background: Due to the presence of platelet antigen polymorphisms, human platelet membrane glycoproteins can be identified as an alloantigen or autoantigen. The aim of this study was to determine the frequencies of human platelet antigens (HPAs)-1 to-5 and-15 in Turkmen blood donors and establish a panel of accredited HPAs negative donors as well as an HPA-typed platelet donor registry.
Materials And Methods: HPA-1 to-5 and-15 typing was performed by the polymerase chain reaction-sequence-specific primer techniques on 80 unrelated Turkmen donors who were referred to Aq-Qala Blood Transfusion Center in Golestan Province from September 2018 to October 2019.

Objectives: Although recent genome-wide association studies have identified a number of single nucleotide polymorphisms associated with platelet count and mean platelet volume (MPV), it is unclear whether polymorphisms in the human platelet antigens (HPA) genes are associated with platelet count and MPV. The aim of this study was to determine the association of the HPA-2, -3, -5 and -15 polymorphisms with platelet count and MPV.
Methods: The HPA were genotyped by 5'-nuclease assay in 139 healthy Chinese Han individuals, while platelet count and MPV from the same samples were measured using an hematology cell analyzer.
