Purpose: We evaluated the clinical features and retinal and disk perfusion characteristics by using optical coherence tomography (OCT) and optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) in a subset of giant cell arteritis (GCA) patients who manifested anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (AION), in a subset of GCA patients without ocular involvement, and in a control group composed of healthy controls.
Methods: We performed an observational study on the eyes of GCA patients affected by arteritic AION both in acute and chronic phases, unaffected eyes of AION, eyes of GCA patients without ocular involvement, and in a control group of healthy eyes of healthy individuals. All patients underwent a complete ophthalmic examination and an OCT and OCTA of the macula and the disk.

To longitudinally investigate the impact of best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), non-modifiable risk factors, modifiable habits, and disease course on the vision-related quality of life (VRQOL) of patients with central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR). We longitudinally enrolled 109 CSCR patients and 42 non-diseased control participants from our clinic. In addition to clinical examination, the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire (NEI-VFQ-39) was employed for assessments, along with questions pertaining to various aspects of lifestyle habits.

Objectives: To analyse the profile and implication of genetic testing in a cohort of retinoblastoma (RB) patients and their families conducted on a single day during World Retinoblastoma Awareness Week 2017.
Methods: Retrospective analysis of blood samples were collected from 411 subjects, including 113 probands at a camp organised for RB awareness and were analysed for RB1 mutations by Sanger sequencing and Multiplex Ligation-dependent Probe Amplification (MLPA). If germline mutations were detected, the parents and siblings of the proband were tested for the same mutation.

Introduction: The study aimed to evaluate multi-symptom relief of dry eye manifestations with the use of propylene glycol-hydroxypropyl-guar (PG-HPG) nanoemulsion lubricant eye drops, among subjects with dry eye disease (DED).
Methods: This was a post-marketing, prospective, single-arm study conducted in the USA. Subjects aged ≥ 18 years, with tear breakup time (TBUT) ≤ 10 s for both eyes, dry eye questionnaire-5 (DEQ-5) "watery eyes" symptom score 1-4, symptoms of burning/stinging, sore and tired eyes as determined by impact of dry eye on everyday living-symptom bother (IDEEL-SB) questionnaire, and IDEEL-SB score 16-65 were included.
