Rashes after coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19) mRNA vaccinations occur with typical and atypical presentations. The goal of this article is to increase awareness and review the various diagnosis and management of cutaneous adverse reactions associated with COVID-19 vaccinations for allergy/immunology fellows, residents, general physicians, and general practitioners. Pertinent information was included from the patient's case. A review of the available literature using the works cited in the most up-to-date reviews was completed. A case of a patient with cutaneous adverse reaction after COVID-19 vaccination as presented, followed by a review of cutaneous reactions after COVID-19 vaccinations. Providers should be aware of the different rashes after COVID-19 vaccinations. Pearls and pitfalls of the diagnosis and management are provided.

Despite their safety and widespread use, conventional protein antigen-based subunit vaccines face significant challenges such as low immunogenicity, insufficient long-term immunity, poor CD8 T-cell activation, and poor adaptation to viral variants. To address these issues, an infection-mimicking gel (IM-Gel) is developed that is designed to emulate the spatiotemporal dynamics of immune stimulation in acute viral infections through in situ supramolecular self-assembly of nanoparticulate-TLR7/8a (NP-TLR7/8a) and an antigen with tannic acid (TA). Through collagen-binding properties of TA, the IM-Gel enables sustained delivery and enhanced retention of NP-TLR7/8a and protein antigen in the lymph node subcapsular sinus of mice for over 7 days, prolonging the exposure of vaccine components in both B cell and T cell zones, leading to robust humoral and cellular responses.

We have carried out spectral analysis of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) notifications in all 47 prefectures in Japan. The results confirm that the power spectral densities (PSDs) of the data from each prefecture show exponential characteristics, which are universally observed in the PSDs of time series generated by nonlinear dynamical systems, such as the susceptible/exposed/infectious/recovered (SEIR) epidemic model. The exponential gradient increases with the population size.

Does aligning misinformation content with individuals' core moral values facilitate its spread? We investigate this question in three behavioral experiments ( = 615; = 505; ₂ = 533) that examine how the alignment of audience values and misinformation framing affects sharing behavior, in conjunction with analyzing real-world Twitter data ( = 20,235; 809,414 tweets) that explores how aligning the moral values of message senders with misinformation content influences its dissemination in the context of COVID-19 vaccination misinformation. First, we investigate how aligning messages' moral framing with participants' moral values impacts participants' intentions to share true and false news headlines and whether this effect is driven by a lack of analytical thinking. Our results show that framing a post such that it aligns with audiences' moral values leads to increased sharing intentions, independent of headline familiarity, and participants' political ideology but find no effect of analytical thinking.
