Purpose: To describe the prevalence of self-reported depression in a socioeconomically deprived area in Denmark and the association to socioeconomic position (SEP) defined by education, occupation, and being in financial strain.

Method: 13,955 adults completing the Major Depression Inventory (MDI) in the Lolland-Falster Health Study questionnaire were included.Multivariate logistic regression on symptoms of depression based on MDI sum score and ICD-10 scores, associated to education, occupation, and financial strain - unadjusted and adjusted for sex and age group.

Efforts to understand and respond to the opioid crisis have focused on overdose fatalities. Overdose mortality rates (ratios of overdoses resulting in death) are rarely examined though they are important indicators of harm reduction effectiveness. Factors that vary across urban communities likely determine which community members are receiving the resources needed to reduce fatal overdose risk.

Introduction: Diabesity is a pathological condition that combines obesity and type 2 diabetes in the same individual. Due to the current rise in both conditions, the prevalence of diabesity is increasing worldwide. Its etiology is known to be multifactorial; therefore, the aim of this study is to understand how diabesity is associated with various sociodemographic variables, healthy habits, and stress.
