Published: November 2022

Several species of the genus are used as plant growth-promoting bacteria. In particular, species of the subtilis group are known as good antagonists of phytopathogenic fungi. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of a rhizospheric strain with promising abilities as a biocontrol agent.

Background: BERIL-1 was a randomized phase 2 study that studied paclitaxel with either buparlisib, a pan-class I PIK3 inhibitor, or placebo in patients with recurrent or metastatic (R/M) head and neck squamous cell cancer (HNSCC). Considering the therapeutic paradigm shift with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) now approved in the first-line setting, we present an updated immunogenomic analysis of patients enrolled in BERIL-1, including patients with immune-infiltrated tumors.

Objective: The objective of this study was to identify biomarkers predictive of treatment efficacy in the context of the post-ICI therapeutic landscape.

This study reports draft genomes of 30 bacteria representative of the plant food system microbiota and isolated from different sources in Italy and France. Individual genomes were reconstructed using PacBIO DNA sequencing: taxonomic classification and distribution of genes involved in microbe-environment interactions are reported to facilitate strains' characterization and utilization.

We present the genome of BDSA isolated from ready-to-eat (RTE) meat collected in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The genome displays the Listeria pathogenicity island 1 and virulence, stress response, and antimicrobial resistance genes. It was phylogenetically classified as ST7, and clustered with serotype 1/2a belonging to lineage II.

January 2025

Veterinary Population Medicine Department and Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minnesota 55108, USA.

Bovine papillomaviruses (BPVs) commonly cause sarcoids in equines worldwide. Equine sarcoids (ESs) reduce the working ability of draft animals and produce untoward cosmetic changes in racing and dancing equine. In this study, nine horses and 16 donkeys with sarcoids were presented to Zagazig University Veterinary Clinic, Zagazig, Egypt.
