Introduction A transperineal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy (TPB) under local anaesthetics (LA) after a prostate MRI scan is the gold standard for performing a prostate biopsy in patients with suspected prostate cancer. It has superseded transrectal ultrasound-guided prostate biopsy (TRUSB). Historically, TRUSB by definition was performed in a contaminated environment and was routinely covered with antibiotics to reduce the risks of infection.

Background: There are no approved pharmacological therapies to support treatment of the core communication and socialisation difficulties associated with autism spectrum disorder in adults. We aimed to assess the efficacy, safety, and pharmacokinetics of balovaptan, a vasopressin 1a receptor antagonist, versus placebo in autistic adults.
Methods: V1aduct was a phase 3, randomised, placebo-controlled, double-blind trial, conducted at 46 sites across six countries (the USA, the UK, France, Italy, Spain, and Canada).
Obstructive uropathy is defined the clinical entity that is characterized by changing the structural and functional feature of the urinary system due to interruption of normal urinary runoff. Gynecological benignities could rarely cause obstructive uropathy. Material and In this study the incidence and the severity of obstructive uropathy caused by gynecological benignities, was investigated.

Purpose: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) can cause incomplete bladder emptying or hydronephrosis and renal failure. These are serious conditions, especially in elderly women, requiring resolution of POP. Pessary use is an alternative, but there are specific problems or patients may not want it.
