The involvement of patients and the public with researchers is essential in clinical research on cancer treatment. In recent years, patient and public involvement(PPI)has been required in all medical research processes. This paper summarizes practical considerations and examples of the PPI process referred to in the"Patient and Public Involvement(PPI)Guidebook"of the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development(AMED). The process consists of the introduction of PPI, recruitment of PPI participants, conflict of interest management and rewards for PPI participants, the confidentiality of PPI participants, and reporting results and feedback. It is difficult to provide a standardized procedure because PPI activities vary among the research projects. It is recommended to implement PPI activities into your research project by utilizing the actual cases or existing information sources.

Canine Parvovirus (CPV) is a highly contagious virus that causes severe hemorrhagic enteritis and myocarditis, posing a major threat to the life and health of dogs. The molecular mechanism by which VP2, the major capsid protein of CPV, infects host cells and utilizes host cell proteins for self-replication remains poorly understood. In this study, 140 host proteins specifically binding to CPV VP2 protein were identified by immunoprecipitation combined with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).

Background: A growing body of evidence suggests that prolonged use of inhaled corticosteroids (ICS) and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) is associated with increased risks of pneumonia. A substantial proportion of people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) are prescribed PPIs or ICS to treat common comorbidities, giving rise to concerns that use of these medications may be associated with potential harms in this patient population.
Methods: We used UK Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) Aurum primary care data linked to national mortality and hospital admissions data to create a cohort of people diagnosed with IPF on or after 1 January 2010.

Introduction: Stroke is a leading cause of death and disability worldwide. Antiplatelet therapy is essential for preventing ischemic stroke recurrence, but it carries a risk of gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. Proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) are often prescribed to mitigate this risk, but their long-term use has been linked to increased all-cause mortality.

Background: At present, although some studies have offered certain insights into the genetic factors related to unruptured intracranial aneurysms (uIAs), the potential genetic targets associated with uIAs remain largely unknown. Thus, this research adopted Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to study two genome-wide association studies on uIAs, aiming to determine the reliable genetic susceptibility and potential therapeutic targets for uIAs.
Methods: This study summarizes the data of expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL) as exposure data.
