Background: Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) of the pleura are usually benign. We present a case of SFT of the pleura which grew rapidly after slow long-term progression.

Collateral vascular arteries from the descending aorta to the pulmonary arteries are uncommon after arterial switch operation. We describe a case of transposition of the great arteries (TGA) with significant aortopulmonary collateral vessels causing management difficulties after an arterial switch operation. Preoperatively, the presence of collaterals exacerbated aortic diastolic runoff and led to myocardial ischemia.

Acute dyspnea is a common symptom whose management is challenging in prehospital settings. Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is increasingly accessible because of device miniaturization. To assess the contribution of POCUS in the prehospital management of patients with acute nontraumatic dyspnea, we performed a systematic review on nontrauma patients of any age managed in the prehospital setting for acute dyspnea and receiving a POCUS examination.
