The article projects the components of the intelligent decision support system for epidemiological diagnostics and investigates their interaction with the user. The system includes a bank of models and machine learning methods, a bank of population dynamics models, visualization and reporting tools, and management decision-making unit. The concept of information technology to ensure biosafety of the population is provided. A model of specified information technology use cases is developed and a sequence diagram is constructed. A model of information technology components and ways of their deployment on a server are proposed.

Importance: Food insecurity is a growing public health concern, but its association with perinatal complications remains unclear.
Objective: To examine whether food insecurity in pregnancy was associated with the risk of perinatal complications and determine whether these potential associations differed by receipt of food assistance.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This cohort study used data from a pregnancy survey conducted between June 22, 2020, and September 9, 2022, at Kaiser Permanente Northern California, an integrated health care system serving a diverse population of 4.

Importance: Congenital Zika syndrome (CZS) can lead to a range of developmental and neurological issues, which increases the risk of early death. However, the all-cause and cause-specific mortality in children with CZS in the first 5 years of life remain unknown.
Objective: To compare the hazard of all-cause and cause-specific mortality before age 5 years among children with and without CZS in Brazil.

Looking at the world often involves not just seeing things, but feeling things. Modern feedforward machine vision systems that learn to perceive the world in the absence of active physiology, deliberative thought, or any form of feedback that resembles human affective experience offer tools to demystify the relationship between seeing and feeling, and to assess how much of visually evoked affective experiences may be a straightforward function of representation learning over natural image statistics. In this work, we deploy a diverse sample of 180 state-of-the-art deep neural network models trained only on canonical computer vision tasks to predict human ratings of arousal, valence, and beauty for images from multiple categories (objects, faces, landscapes, art) across two datasets.

Cancer treatments such as surgery and chemotherapy have several limitations, including ineffectiveness against large or persistent tumors, high relapse rates, drug toxicity, and non-specificity of therapy. Researchers are exploring advanced strategies for treating this life-threatening disease to address these challenges. One promising approach is targeted drug delivery using prodrugs or surface modification with receptor-specific moieties for active or passive targeting.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify distinct patterns of pesticide poisoning in Brazil through the cluster analysis of epidemiological data from 2011 to 2019.
Methods: A cross-sectional analysis of 49,233 confirmed pesticide poisoning cases was conducted using multiple correspondence analysis and hierarchical clustering. Data from the Brazilian Notifiable Diseases Information System were analyzed by region, demographics, and exposure types.
