Ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury is a common pathological mechanism involved in many ocular diseases. I/R is characterized by microvascular dysfunction and neurodegeneration. However, the mechanisms of neurodegeneration induced by I/R remain largely unknown. This study showed that the expression of long non-coding RNA-CRNDE was significantly upregulated after retinal ischemia-reperfusion (RIR). LncRNA-CRNDE knockdown alleviated retinal neurodegeneration induced by RIR injury, as shown by decreased reactive gliosis and reduced retinal cells loss. Furthermore, lncRNA-CRNDE knockdown directly regulated Müller cell function and indirectly affected RGC function . In addition, lncRNA-CRNDE knockdown led to a significant reduction in the release of several cytokines after RIR. This study suggests that lncRNA-CRNDE is a promising therapeutic target for RIR.

Background: LncRNA colorectal neoplasia differentially expressed (CRNDE) was found to be an important regulator in many cancers. This project focuses on the function of CRNDE on macrophage metabolic reprogramming and Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
Method: qRT-PCR and Immunofluorescence were used to analyze Arg-1, IL-10, CD163, CCL-18, CD206, and CRNDE expression in HCC tissues and macrophages.

As a crucial protumorigenic long noncoding RNA, colorectal tumor differential expression (CRNDE) has been confirmed to facilitate the progression of various cancers. However, its role in the tumor microenvironment (TME) of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is still unclear. Here we determined that CRNDE was upregulated in HCC samples and that CRNDE-positive cells were predominantly enriched in malignant tumor cells.

Myocardial infarction (MI) is a cardiovascular disease and troubles patients all over the world. Exosomes produced after long-term exercise training were discovered to mediate intercellular communication and alleviate MI-induced heart injury. However, the detailed roles of long-term exercise-derived exosomal long noncoding RNAs (LncRNAs) in MI remain uncovered.

Results of previous studies suggested that renal fibrosis and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays an important role in the process of renal fibrosis, but the underlying mechanism remains unclear. Long coding RNA (lncRNA) CRNDE has emerged as potent regulators of EMT programs, therefore, in present work, we examined the roles of LncRNA CRNDE/miR-29a-3p axis in renal fibrosis and the underlying mechanism. We found that in both renal fibrosis animal and cell models, lncRNA CRNDE was dynamically upregulated in animal models or cells by the treatment of TGF-β.
