This study estimated prophylactic antibiotic usage rates for the prevention of early-onset invasive neonatal group B infection among patients with penicillin allergy. Undertreatment (no antibiotics, underuse of cefazolin, overuse of clindamycin inconsistent with resistance patterns) and overtreatment (vancomycin use) were common. Academic hospitals were marginally more adherent to guidelines than nonacademic hospitals.

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the risk factors for postoperative complications following Femoral Neck System (FNS) fixation in young patients with femoral neck fractures (FNFs).

Methods: We retrospective analyzed 133 patients with FNFs who underwent FNS fixation between May 2021 and October 2023. Potential risk factors that may affect the results included age, gender, body mass index (BMI), Pauwels classification, Garden classification, fracture anatomical classification, reduction method, reduction quality, coronal plane position of the FNS bolt.

Introduction: The introduction of multiparametric prostate magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) has revolutionized prostate cancer (PCa) diagnosis, enhancing the localization of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPCa) and guiding targeted biopsies. However, significant disparities in the execution, interpretation, and reporting of prostate MRI examinations across centers necessitate greater standardization and accuracy. This study compares the diagnostic efficacy of mpMRI from academic and nonacademic centers in detecting csPCa and identifies factors associated with csPCa detection.
