Impact of activation energy on carreau nanofluid flow over non-linear stretching surface.

Heliyon

January 2024

Department of Mathematics, College of Science Al-Zulfi, Majmaah University, Al-Majmaah 11952, Saudi Arabia.

- The main goal of this article is to outline the key elements of activation energy that govern the slip flow of Carreau fluid over a non-linear stretched surface with heat transfer. By using the Arrhenius relation, activation energy aspects are included. Brownian diffusion and thermophoretic effects are shown through the study of nanoparticle dispersion using the Buongiorno model.

Unlabelled: In forensic laboratories, analytical investigations of gunshot residues (GSRs) are usually conducted by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in combination with energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis. If GSRs are covered with bloodstains, SEM cannot detect them. In this study, an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry method is proposed to solve this problem.

Purpose: Wounds from assault rifles and their commercial offspring have been encountered with increasing frequency in civilian practice. Our aim is to summarize wound ballistics related to the main injury patterns that can also affect management strategies.

Methods: An online search of the PubMed was conducted for research and review articles published after 2000 in English, using the MeSH terms "gunshot wounds", "mass casualty incidents", "war-related injuries", "soft tissue injuries", "vascular system injuries", "colon injuries", "wound infection", "antibiotic prophylaxis", "debridement", "hemorrhage", "penetrating head injuries", "pneumothorax" and additional free-text terms.

Statistical analysis of periodic MHD chemically radiative casson flow over an inclined cylinder with entropy optimization.

Heliyon

November 2024

Multidisciplinary Action Research (MARS) Lab, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Daffodil International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Statistical analysis (SA) stands as an indispensable tool in materials science and engineering, aiding in the understanding and optimization of heat and mass transport processes. This study delves into the interplay between periodic magneto-hydrodynamics (MHD) and chemical reactions concerning entropy generation over an inclined porous cylinder (IPC). We employ a statistical approach, amalgamating the robust 6th order Runge-Kutta (R-K) integration algorithm with the Nachtsheim-Swigert (N-S) shooting iteration method, subsequent to converting the governing equations into Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE) form.
