The efficacy and safety of drugs are widely known to be determined by their interactions with multiple molecules of pharmacological importance, and it is therefore essential to systematically depict the molecular atlas and pharma-information of studied drugs. However, our understanding of such information is neither comprehensive nor precise, which necessitates the construction of a new database providing a network containing a large number of drugs and their interacting molecules. Here, a new database describing the molecular atlas and pharma-information of drugs (DrugMAP) was therefore constructed. It provides a comprehensive list of interacting molecules for >30 000 drugs/drug candidates, gives the differential expression patterns for >5000 interacting molecules among different disease sites, ADME (absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion)-relevant organs and physiological tissues, and weaves a comprehensive and precise network containing >200 000 interactions among drugs and molecules. With the great efforts made to clarify the complex mechanism underlying drug pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics and rapidly emerging interests in artificial intelligence (AI)-based network analyses, DrugMAP is expected to become an indispensable supplement to existing databases to facilitate drug discovery. It is now fully and freely accessible at: https://idrblab.org/drugmap/.

Gene therapy with Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) vectors requires knowledge of their tropism within the body. Here we analyze the tropism of ten naturally occurring AAV serotypes (AAV3B, AAV4, AAV5, AAV6, AAV7, AAV8, AAV9, AAVrh8, AAVrh10 and AAVrh74) following systemic delivery into male and female mice. A transgene expressing ZsGreen and Cre recombinase was used to identify transduction in a cell-dependent manner based on fluorescence.

Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is genetically complex and difficult to treat. Detection in the early stage is challenging, leading to diagnosis at advanced stages with limited treatment options. This study examined the collagen triple helix repeat containing 1 gene (CTHRC1) as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in HNSCC.

Coliphage N4 is a representative species of the family of bacteriophages. Originally structurally studied in 2008, the capsid structure was solved to 14 Å to reveal an interesting arrangement of Ig-like decoration proteins across the surface of the capsid. Herein, we present a high-resolution N4 structure, reporting a 2.

: The multiple drug-resistant phenomenon has long since plagued the effectiveness of various chemotherapies used in the treatment of patients with glioblastoma (GBM), which is still incurable to this day. ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters function as drug transporters and have been touted to be the main culprits in developing resistance to xenobiotic drugs in GBM. : This review systematically analyzed the efficacy of ABC transporters against various anticancer drugs from 16 studies identified from five databases (PubMed, Medline, Embase, Scopus, and ScienceDirect).

Background: Despite advances in uveal melanoma (UM) diagnosis and treatment, about 50% of patients develop distant metastases, thereby displaying poor overall survival. Molecular profiling has identified several genetic alterations that can stratify patients with UM into different risk categories. However, these genetic alterations are currently dispersed over multiple studies and several methodologies, emphasizing the need for a defined workflow that will allow standardized and reproducible molecular analyses.
