Methods: The methanolic root extract was prepared by maceration, and flavonoids were evaluated by LC/MS. examination was performed based on the LC/MS results, and the binding affinity of these compounds to estrogen receptors (ERs) and was evaluated. Wound healing evaluation in both (NHDF cell line, by 500 g/ml concentration of the extract, 24 h) and (Wistar rat, topical daily treated with 1.5% of the extract ointment, 21 days) conditions in comparison to control groups was conducted. Rats' control groups included silver sulfadiazine, Vaseline, and the nontreated groups.

Results: Eleven flavonoids were detected using LC/MS. The study showed that formononetin, kaempferol-based structures, quercetin-3-O-neohesperidoside, and calycosin-7-O-beta-D-glucoside had a high affinity (<-6.3) to ERs and . Wound closing measurement showed significant improvement in the group treated with the extract in both and assays compared to the control groups. Histopathological results confirmed these findings; inflammation factors decreased, and fibroblast proliferation, fibrosis, and epithelization increased, especially in the extract group.

Conclusion: This study shows that has wound healing activity and with low toxicity due to the presence of flavonoids, especially isoflavonoids, which show a high affinity to bind to ERs and in the skin tissue.

Fracture-related infection (FRI) is a serious complication that occurs primarily in surgically treated fractures. FRIs occur when bacteria enter the site of bony injury and alter the healing inflammatory response within the bone. This can prevent bone regeneration and can lead to long-lasting complications such as chronic infection, pain, nonunion, and amputation.

Pyoderma gangrenosum (PG) is a rare, chronic, neutrophilic dermatosis characterized by painful ulcers that are often misdiagnosed as wound infections. We report two cases of postsurgical PG following breast surgery: A 46-year-old woman with a non-healing ulcer after a breast biopsy and a 37-year-old woman with wound dehiscence after bilateral reduction mammoplasty. Both cases were initially managed with repeated debridements, antibiotics, and wound care without improvement.

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, School of Stomatology, Hebei Medical University, Hebei Technology Innovation Center of Oral Health, Key Laboratory of Stomatology and Clinical Research Centre for Oral Diseases, Hebei Province, Shijiazhuang, 050017, China.

HOXD13, a member of the homeobox gene family, plays a critical role in developmental processes and has been implicated in various malignancies, including pancreatic cancer and glioma. However, its role in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) remains poorly understood. This study aimed to elucidate the potential of HOXD13 as a diagnostic biomarker and therapeutic target for OSCC.
