The aim of the study is to determine the quality of life of a population of healthy adult yoga practitioners and the correlation between the features of yoga practice and the quality of life. A total of 300 people aged 35-50 years were examined and divided into two groups. The respondent (SG; = 150) was a yoga practitioner, and the control (CG; = 150) did not practice yoga. The original questionnaire and the quality-of-life questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF) were used. The chi-square test, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, the Mann-Whitney U test, the ANOVA Kruskal-Wallis test and the linear regression model were used. The significance level was set at < 0.05. Yoga practitioners are characterised by a significantly greater overall satisfaction with the quality of life (U = 9794.50; < 0.05), a higher level of health satisfaction (U = 9194.50; < 0.01) and higher satisfaction with quality life in terms of the results of somatic domains (U = 7579.00; < 0.001), psychological (U = 8554.00; < 0.001) and environmental domains (U = 7919.5; < 0.001). A relationship was observed between the experience of yoga practice and the assessment of the quality of life in terms of physical functioning. The practice of adult yoga positively influences the assessment of their quality of life in the physical, mental and environmental spheres.

Introduction: Kidney transplantation is the preferred treatment for end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), enhancing survival and quality of life. However, kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) are at high risk for bone disorders, particularly low bone turnover disease, which increases fracture risk. Teriparatide, an anabolic agent, may provide a beneficial treatment option for these patients.

Background: Although several studies have examined the Kidney Disease Quality of Life (KDQOL) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), the factors associated with kidney-related symptoms have not been fully explored.
Methods: This nationwide multicenter cohort study enrolled 2248 patients. To identify the factors associated with each item or the three KDQOL domains, such as burden of kidney disease, symptoms/problems of kidney disease, and impact of kidney disease on daily life, multiple regression analysis was performed using baseline data.

The brain-gut axis constitutes the basis for the bidirectional communication between the central nervous system and the gastrointestinal tract driven by neural, hormonal, metabolic, immunological, and microbial signals. Alterations in the gut microbiome composition as observed in inflammatory bowel diseases can modulate brain function and emerging empirical evidence has indicated that interactions among the brain-gut microbiome-axis seem to play a significant role in the pathogenesis of both inflammatory bowel diseases and psychiatric disorders and their comorbidity. Yet, the immunological and molecular mechanisms underlying the co-occurrence of inflammatory bowel diseases and psychological symptoms are still poorly understood.
