This article presents a comparison between two cases in which there was a need for revision of total hip arthroplasty due to aseptic acetabular failure. We used 3D prototyping in one of the cases to perform an unconventional technique of molding synthesis material before the procedure to evaluate the time saved in the transoperative period in complex cases.

Introduction: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a rare haematological cancer with poor 5-years overall survival (OS) and high relapse rate. Leukemic cells are sensitive to Natural Killer (NK) cell mediated killing. However, NK cells are highly impaired in AML, which promote AML immune escape from NK cell immune surveillance.

For decades, Alzheimer's Disease (AD) research has focused on the amyloid cascade hypothesis, which identifies amyloid-beta (Aβ) as the primary driver of the disease. However, the consistent failure of Aβ-targeted therapies to demonstrate efficacy, coupled with significant safety concerns, underscores the need to rethink our approach to AD treatment. Emerging evidence points to microbial infections as environmental factors in AD pathoetiology.

belongs to the unconventional myosin superfamily, and the myosin IIIa protein localizes on the tip of the stereocilia of vestibular and cochlear hair cells. Deficiencies in have been reported to cause the deformation of hair cells into abnormally long stereocilia with an increase in spacing. is a rare causative gene of autosomal recessive sensorineural hearing loss (DFNB30), with only 13 cases reported to date.

Two-dimensional materials with flat electronic bands are promising for realising exotic quantum phenomena such as unconventional superconductivity and nontrivial topology. However, exploring their vast chemical space is a significant challenge. Here we introduce elf, an unsupervised convolutional autoencoder that encodes electronic band structure images into fingerprint vectors, enabling the autonomous clustering of materials by electronic properties beyond traditional chemical paradigms.
