Foster children represent a high-risk group for physical, emotional, and social health problems, yet few federal or state policies explicitly address foster child health. This article reviews foster child health and the legal background for policy, then discusses components of a comprehensive health care supervision program.

The German Patientenrechtegesetz defines, among other things, medical obligations in connection with the provision of information. To date, the extent to which these legal requirements also influence patient satisfaction with information has not been investigated in Germany.The study employed an anonymized patient survey on satisfaction with information, which was recorded using a validated 10-item questionnaire.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFWe develop empirical tools for studying discrimination in multi-phase systems, and apply them to the setting of foster care placement by child protective services. Leveraging the quasi-random assignment of two sets of decision-makers-initial hotline call screeners and subsequent investigators-we study how unwarranted racial disparities arise and propagate through this system. Using a sample of over 200,000 maltreatment allegations, we find that calls involving Black children are 55% more likely to result in foster care placement than calls involving white children with the same potential for future maltreatment in the home.

Objective: This study aims to examine the relationships between social anxiety, learning adaptability, AI technology usage, and behavioral problems among primary school students, with a focus on the mediating role of learning adaptability and the moderating role of AI usage.
Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 1240 primary school students aged 8-15 in Luzhou, Sichuan Province. Social anxiety was measured using the Social Anxiety Scale for Children (SASC), learning adaptability was assessed with the Children's Learning Adaptability Questionnaire (CSAQ), behavioral problems were evaluated using the Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), and AI tool usage was gauged through a self-developed questionnaire.
