Sensing temperature () has gained great attention since is the most important parameter in daily life, scientific research and industry. A ratiometric fluorescence sensor is fabricated by doping MAPbBr perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) and rhodamine B (RhB) into a polyacrylonitrile (PAN) matrix and the composite materials are electrospun into optical fibers. The fibers show characteristic emissions at 521 and 587 nm under UV irradiation ( = 365 nm). Both emission intensities gradually increased with elevating , accompanied with a fluorescence color change from green to yellow. There is a linear relationship between fluorescence intensity ratio ( / ) and in the range of 30-45 °C. The response sensitivity is as high as 4.38% °C at 45 °C.

A new conjugate, 2-(4-(anthracen-9-yl) phenyl)-[1,2-d]imidazole-1H-anthraquninone (AQI) has been designed and synthesized as a molecular probe 4. The photophysical and electrochemical behavior of the probe in the absence and presence of different class of ions were examined in acetonitrile solution. The probe 4 with F- and CN- anions showed ratiometric fluorescence "turn - On" response due to variation in ICT processes.

Cytosine-rich and poly(adenine)-tailed tetrahedral DNA framework (TDF) is designed as template (A-TDF) for anchoring silver nanoclusters (AgNCs) and igniting the dual-color fluorescence of AgNCs. The resultant DNA-AgNCs simultaneously emits red and green fluorescence, and the quantum yield of red fluorescence is as high as 44.8%.

With the development and improvement of analysis and detection systems, low-toxicity and harmless detection systems have received much attention, especially in the field of food detection. In this paper, a low-toxicity dual-emission molecularly imprinted fluorescence sensor (CdTe QDs@SiO/N-CDs@MIPs) was successfully designed for highly selective recognition and visual detection of tetracycline (TC) in food samples. Specifically, the non-toxic blue-emission N-doped carbon dots (N-CDs) with high luminous performance acted as the response signals to contact TC via the covalent bond between amino and carboxyl groups.

Preparation of carbon dots (CDs) from biomass waste is of great interest due to its low cost synthesis, environmental compatibility and functionalization without adding dangerous chemicals. Herein, S-doped carbon dot (SCD) was synthesized using agricultural waste as carbon precursors and modified in-situ with rhodamine B dye (SCD@RHB) to construct efficient flouresent probe. SCD@RHB was loaded into HKUST-1 metal-organic framework (SCD@RHB/HKUST-1) and the probe was employed as ratiometric flouresent (RF) sensor for the determination of ciprofloxacin (CIP) antibiotic in trace level.

Ciprofloxacin (CIP) is a commonly used antibiotic, but its abuse may cause bacterial resistance, posing a high risk to the environment and human health. Herein, based on the molecular imprinting technology, this study proposed a ratiometric fluorescence sensor employing the "post-doping" strategy, which aims to be rapid, selective, and visually easy-to-use for CIP detection to address antibiotic residues and environmental risks. Specifically, by exploiting the "antenna effect" of lanthanide metal ions (Ln), terbium (III) (Tb) chosen as a fluorescence-assisted functional monomer as well as the red emitting CdTe quantum dots (QDs) as the internal reference signal were introduced into multi-emission Tb-CdTe@SiO@MIPs (TbMIPs).
