Background: The National Institute on Aging (NIA) Imbedded Pragmatic Alzheimer's Disease and Alzheimer's Related Dementia (AD/ADRD) Clinical Trials (IMPACT) Collaboratory, in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association, convened a Lived Experience Panel (LEP), a group of 9-12 individuals, including people living with cognitive symptoms, proxies representing people with an advanced cognitive disorder or who are deceased, and care partners of a person living with dementia. The aim was for the LEP members to share their experiences with research, inform the development of research priorities, and provide input on conducting embedded pragmatic clinical trials (ePCTs) of dementia care interventions. Given the importance of providing a space for people with lived experiences to share their thoughts and recommendations, we continue to report on the final stage of LEP in its original design.

Background: Given the widespread of tele-assessment and tele-rehabilitation in speech language pathology and clinical neuropsychology for monolingual English-speaking patients with acquired neurogenic language and cognitive disorders, there is an urgent need to implement a culturally and linguistically tailored telepractice for multilingual people living with dementia (MPLWD), for whom there is no consensus on a standard model. This study aims to investigate the delivery model of remote assessment and intervention for this population.
Method: A systematic scoping review was conducted in December 2023 following frameworks described by Arksey and O'Malley (2007).

Background: The emergence of dementia as a global health challenge necessitates an exploration of its unique epidemiological patterns and risk factors in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Amid a growing elderly population, SSA presents an intriguing paradox of lower-than-expected dementia prevalence, prompting a comprehensive review of epidemiological nuances, lifestyle risk factors, cultural influences, and protective factors. This study critically assessed the current state of dementia research in SSA, aiming to inform tailored interventions and policies.

Background: To promote caregiver health and reduce burden, the Savvy Caregiver Program (SCP), an evidence-based caregiving intervention, was adapted with a Native Hawaiian (NH) community in Hawai'i. The adaptation process occurred prior to pilot testing in two phases: 1) the preliminary adaptation by a community action board (CAB) and mentorship team and 2) pre-pilot testing and expert validation with NH adults. The preliminary adaptation, titled 'Auamo Kuleana O Nā Ma'i Poina ('Auamo Kuleana), aimed to include Hawaiian values, language, proverbs, and culturally relevant examples while maintaining the core components of the program.
