Introduction And Importance: Phrenic nerve schwannoma is an occasional axonal tumor that is mostly asymptomatic.
Case Presentation: In this report, a man with a painless lump in his neck was the subject. His diagnostic process included the recording of schwannoma.

Background: Neurogenic tumors are the third most common tumors occurring within the mediastinum. Predominantly completely asymptomatic, they are most often found in the posterior mediastinum, although they may also be located, albeit rarely, in the middle mediastinum. Thus, in the cases of tumors localized in the middle mediastinum, schwannomas of the phrenic nerve must always be considered.

Background And Objectives: Nerve sheath tumors of the brachial plexus frequently distort the local anatomy, increasing the difficulty of safe exposure and resection. However, lateral displacement of the phrenic nerve has not been previously described. The purpose of this study was thus to illustrate the abnormal lateral displacement of the phrenic nerve in 2 cases of patients undergoing brachial plexus tumor resection and provide a possible mechanism for this observation.

Phrenic nerve schwannomas of the head and neck are exceedingly rare pathologies that can present as an asymptomatic neck mass. Surgery is the definitive treatment, and a conservative surgical approach is preferred if a benign pathology is suspected.
