Background And Aims: We sought to ascertain how prior exposure to TNF antagonists impacts treatment response with various classes of advanced therapies in patients with ulcerative colitis (UC), through a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Methods: Through a systematic review of multiple databases through June 30, 2024, we identified 17 RCTs in 8871 adults with moderate-severe UC who were treated with different advanced therapies vs. placebo, and reported efficacy in induction of clinical remission, stratified by prior exposure to TNF antagonists.

This is the English version of the 2024 clinical practice guidelines for the management of atopic dermatitis (AD). AD is a disease characterized by relapsing eczema with pruritus as a primary lesion. A crucial aspect of AD treatment is the prompt induction of remission via the suppression of existing skin inflammation and pruritus.

: Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors have emerged as a new class of disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). However, herpes zoster is one of the common adverse events of JAK inhibitors, including upadacitinib, which is especially high in Japanese patients with RA compared to those from Western countries. Recombinant zoster vaccine (Shingrix) is an adjuvanted subunit vaccine containing varicella-zoster virus (VZV) glycoprotein E (gE) that is effective in adults over 50 years of age.

Introduction: This study compared treatment with biologic agents and Janus kinase inhibitors (JAKi) in combination with methotrexate (MTX) for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in a real-world setting at a large center in Poland. There is a persistent shortage of such studies, and illustrating the switching of medications in search of a suitable way of treatment for a given patient is a crucial step towards future personalized therapy.
Aim Of The Study: This study is an extension of the initial work published in 2022 in , with the addition of an analysis of patients treated with upadacitinib.

Introduction: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is the most common chronic inflammatory rheumatic disease, its management and morbidity impose a great burden to healthcare systems. Development and rollout of biological disease modifying anti-rheumatic drugs has contributed to improvements for patients, however, high costs have prevented them to be widely used. This is being addressed with biosimilars, with equal benefit-risk profile and reduced costs.
