Background: Clinical trial sponsors rely on research sites to identify and enroll appropriate study participants and to correctly and reliably assess symptom severity and function over the course of the trial. Low-recruiting sites represent a large financial and operational burden and may negatively impact trial success either by selecting inappropriate participants and/or high prevalence of data quality issues. We previously reported that >60% of sites in schizophrenia clinical trials recruited ≤5 participants.

Such brain health priorities can vary across populations and it is unclear to what degree findings from the ePSOM program in the UK might apply to the US.
Methods: We conducted an online nationwide study to understand what matters to people aged 50 and older about their brain health in the US.

Royal Melbourne Hospital, Melbourne, VIC, Australia; The Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Parkville, VIC, Australia.
Background: Australia has a rich migration history, with one in three older people coming from a culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) background. Patients from CALD backgrounds tend to present at later stages of their diseases but face difficulties accessing appropriate dementia care compared to English-speaking patients. Limited literature exists on the clinical experience among CALD patients who have been historically underrepresented in dementia research.

Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, Ann Arbor, MI, USA.
Background: The integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT-4 in clinical settings offers potential enhancements in medical practice, particularly in neurology and dementia care. There is rising public usage of ChatGPT-4 for preliminary information gathering. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of ChatGPT-4 in responding to neurology-focused queries, with an emphasis on Alzheimer's Disease (AD).

Background: Majority of people living worldwide live in low- and middle- income countries, including sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Most cognitive assessment batteries for Alzheimer's Disease(AD), are developed in high income countries (HICs), where most international dementia collaborations and data originate. The African Dementia Consortium (AfDC) is a new scientific collaboration network currently participating in the Recruitment and Retention for Alzheimer's Disease Diversity Genetic Cohorts in the Alzheimer's Disease Sequencing Project (READD-ADSP).
