Background: The amyloid cascade hypothesis still dominates in Alzheimer's disease (AD), and the acceleration of the clearance efficiency of amyloid-β (Aβ) has been always considered as an effective treatment option to slow the occurrence and progression of AD.
Objective: This study aims to explore the role of zkscan3 and its related pathways in AD of the microglia-mediated pathogenesis, and whether the combined effect of drugs can exert neuroprotective function.
Methods: N9 mouse microglia and HT-22 mouse hippocampal neurons were randomly divided into 6 groups, qRT-PCR technique was used to detect the gene expression level of zkscan3 and the genes related to lysosome generation and function.

Background: Migraine affects up to 40% of people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS). This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the combination of antibodies (mAbs) against CGRP (anti-CGRP mAbs) with disease-modifying treatments (DMTs) for MS (mAb and non-mAbs) and their impact on MS disease course.
Methods: This retrospective, multicentric study included PwMS from 14 MS Centers, treated with an anti-CGRP mAb and a stable treatment with DMTs.

Sensitivity to ocular irritation varies among individuals, being influenced by clinical, subjective, and biochemical factors. This study aimed to evaluate individual variability in ocular irritation sensitivity, focusing on clinical parameters, pain perception, and tear neuromediator profiles. Sixty female participants aged 20-40 were classified into high-sensitivity and low-sensitivity groups based on their response to an irritant (Tween20).

Background: There is a lack of suitable predictive markers for assessing the efficacy of amlodipine in treating children with primary hypertension. This study aimed to explore whether plasma calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and nitric oxide (NO) could predict the effectiveness of amlodipine in pediatric primary hypertension.
Methods: This study enrolled 74 children and adolescents with primary hypertension who were prescribed amlodipine monotherapy, and after 4 weeks of treatment, they were divided into responders and non-responders according to blood pressure.
