This study evaluates the applicability of scaled reassigned spectrograms (ReSTS) on ultrasound radio frequency data obtained with a clinical linear array ultrasound transducer. The ReSTS's ability to resolve axially closely spaced objects in a phantom is compared to the classical cross-correlation method with respect to the ability to resolve closely spaced objects as individual reflectors using ultrasound pulses with different lengths. The results show that the axial resolution achieved with the ReSTS was superior to the cross-correlation method when the reflected pulses from two objects overlap. A novel B-mode imaging method, facilitating higher image resolution for distinct reflectors, is proposed.

Purpose: Genetic studies on the transgender and gender diverse (TGD) community have started to appear in the literature. However, there are limited studies on how genetic data will impact attitudes and perspectives toward TGD individuals. In this study, we investigated the impact of genetic alterations on physicians' attitudes toward TGD individuals and on physicians' decisions concerning gender confirmation surgery (GCS).

When multiple sets of skeletonized human remains exist in the same context, they can become commingled due to multifactorial circumstances that affect the postmortem environment. Numerous techniques exist for reassociating commingled skeletal remains (e.g.

The Natural Products Atlas is a database of microbially derived natural products that contains structures, producing organism taxonomy, biosynthetic and chemical ontology classifications, grouping by compound classes and cross-links to a suite of other natural product-related data resources. The database is supported by a web server that includes functionality to browse the collection, search the database using both chemical structures and text/numerical terms and visualize the chemical diversity it contains using interactive dashboards. In the current database release, we have curated 1347 papers, increasing the number of compounds to 36 545.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) conducted a retrospective cumulative dietary risk assessment (CRA) on active substances (AS) and metabolites included in the plant protection products registered in Europe which could provoke craniofacial alterations. Two Cumulative Assessment groups (CAGs) were established: one for alterations due to abnormal skeletal development (CAG-DAC) and one for head soft tissue alterations and brain neural tube defects (CAG-DAH). The probability that each substance is correctly assigned to the specific CAGs (CAG-membership probability) was assessed using weight of evidence and expert knowledge elicitation (EKE) techniques conducted for the six substances identified as risk drivers in each CAG.
