Role modeling is the essence of the teaching process and one of the important functions of educators and clinical instructors. In clinical education situations, many clinical instructors are responsible as mentors. On the other hand, clinical instructors, although not obvious, are seen as role models. This study is aimed at explaining the internal medicine and surgery residents' perceptions of mentors as role models. This qualitative (content analysis) study was carried out using purposive sampling and conducting semi-structured interviews with 18 medical residents (internal medicine and surgery departments) at Iran University of Medical Sciences. The resulting data were analyzed using inductive qualitative content analysis. Based on the results of the analysis of the transcribed interviews, 60 initial codes, 31 subthemes, and 5 main themes were identified. The dimensions of the mentor's role modeling were as follows: structural, executive, managerial, ethical, and scientific. Role modeling is a very effective learning method, especially for medical students. Role modeling in clinical learning environments seems to be valuable to facilitate students' learning. Using the role of clinical instructors as an educational model is one of the important ways of teaching professional ethics in clinics.

Psychological distress, including anxiety or mood disorders, emanates from the onset of chronic/unpredictable stressful events. Symptoms in the form of maladaptive behaviors are learned and difficult to treat. While the origin of stress-induced disorders seems to be where learning and stress intersect, this relationship and molecular pathways involved remain largely unresolved.

The optimization of auto parts supply chain logistics plays a decisive role in the development of the automotive industry. To reduce logistics costs and improve transportation efficiency, this paper addresses the joint optimization problem of multi-vehicle pickup and delivery transportation paths under time window constraints, coupled with the three-dimensional loading of goods. The model considers mixed time windows, three-dimensional loading constraints, cyclic pickup and delivery paths, varying vehicle loads and volumes, flow balance, and time window constraints.

Can focal brain lesions, such as those caused by stroke, disrupt critical brain dynamics? What biological mechanisms drive its recovery? In a recent study, we showed that focal lesions generate a sub-critical state that recovers over time in parallel with behavior (Rocha et al., Nat. Commun.

Cuproptosis, a newly identified form of cell death, has drawn increasing attention for its association with various cancers, though its specific role in colorectal cancer (CRC) remains unclear. In this study, transcriptomic and clinical data from CRC patients available in the TCGA database were analyzed to investigate the impact of cuproptosis. Differentially expressed genes linked to cuproptosis were identified using Weighted Gene Co-Expression Network Analysis (WGCNA).
