SUGT1 is a prognostic biomarker and is associated with immune infiltrates in ovarian cancer.

Eur J Med Res

January 2025

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, NO. 3 Qingchun East Road, Hangzhou, 310016, China.

Background: Ovarian cancer (OC) is a prevalent gynecological malignancy with a relatively dismal prognosis. The SGT1 homolog (SUGT1) protein, which interacts with heat shock protein 90 and is essential for the G1/S and G2/M transitions, was formerly thought to be a cancer promoter, but its precise role in OC remains unknown.

Methods: We conducted a comprehensive bioinformatics analysis of SUGT1 expression in patients with OC compared with their normal controls, including the data from the cancer genome atlas (TCGA), genotype-tissue expression (GTEx) databases, gene ontology (GO) analysis, Kyoto Encylopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analysis, gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA), single sample gene set enrichment analysis (ssGSEA).

Systemic hydroa vacciniforme lymphoproliferative disorder in a patient with chronic active EBV infection.

BMJ Case Rep

December 2024

Dermatology, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Hydroa vacciniforme lymphoproliferative disorders (HVLPD) fall within the clinical spectrum of chronic active epstein barr virus (EBV) disease (CAEBVD), ranging from localised and/or indolent forms (classic HVLPD) to systemic disease with fever, hepatosplenomegaly and lymphadenopathy (systemic HVLPD). A preadolescent male with 47XYY, multicystic dysplastic kidney, autism spectrum disorder and Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) presented with photodistributed non-pruritic, non-painful necrotic papulovesicles accompanied by non-febrile intermittent fatigue and lymphadenopathy. The patient had a history of EBV pneumonia in infancy confirmed by CT scan and was later diagnosed with CAEBV.

Converting macrocycle lactams into bicyclic lactams is proposed as an additional way to further increase the metabolic stability of peptide-based drugs. Unfortunately, the synthesis of bicyclic lactams has to start almost from scratch. This study explores the Hofmann-Löffler-Freytag (HLF) reaction mechanism and products as a potential late-stage functionalisation strategy for facile conversion of macrocyclic to bicyclic ring.

Application of γδ T cells with different memory phenotypes in clinical diagnosis of active pulmonary tuberculosis.

Microb Pathog

January 2025

The Affiliated Infectious Diseases Hospital, Suzhou Medical College of Soochow University, SuZhou, China; Key Laboratory of Infection and Immunity of Suzhou City, The Fifth People's Hospital of Suzhou, Suzhou, China. Electronic address:

Objective: To investigate the application and clinical significance of different memory phenotypes of γδ T-cell subsets in the clinical diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis.

Methods: In total, 42 patients with tuberculosis (TB) according to the diagnostic criteria for tuberculosis (WS288-2017) who were treated at the Infectious Diseases Hospital affiliated with Soochow University from February 2023 to July 2023 were enrolled. Additionally, 16 patients with latent TB infection (LTBI) and 20 healthy controls (HCs) were included.

A new formal approach to safe response time upper bound evaluation for distributed control systems using dioid algebra.

ISA Trans

November 2024

LURPA, ENS Paris-Saclay, 4 ave. des Sciences, 91190 Gif-sur-Yvette, France; LIPN, University of Sorbonne Paris-Nord, 99 Av. Jean Baptiste Clément, 93430 Villetaneuse, France. Electronic address:

This paper presents an approach to computing a safe upper bound of the response time of Distributed Control System (DCS). From a graphical model of live autonomous Timed Event Graphs (TEGs) with asynchronous links and weights, we draw algebraic representations of the time/event dynamics using the M〚γ,δ〛 dioid. By introducing scalers and two operators for handling batching or multiplying events, we are able to calculate the trajectories and transfer functions.
