Colossolactone J (), an undescribed lanostane triterpenoid was isolated from a natural fruiting body of using silica gel column chromatography and preparative HPLC. Its structure was elucidated on the basis of the spectroscopic method. The absolute configuration was determined by the combination of the modified Mosher's method and detailed NMR data analysis.
