Osteocytes are the main cells in mineralized bone tissue. Elevated osteocyte apoptosis has been observed in lytic bone lesions of patients with multiple myeloma. However, their precise contribution to bone metastasis remains unclear.

Clemastine fumarate, the over-the-counter antihistamine and muscarinic receptor blocker, has remyelinating potential in MS. A clemastine arm was added to an ongoing platform clinical trial TRAP-MS ( NCT03109288 ) to identify a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) remyelination signature and to collect safety data on clemastine in patients progressing independently of relapse activity (PIRA).

Introduction: Systemic cystic angiomatosis is an exceedingly rare condition characterized by widespread cystic vascular lesions involving multiple organs. Its clinical presentation can be non-specific, often leading to diagnostic challenges. This report discusses the case of a 72-year-old female with a long-standing history of diabetes mellitus who presented with non-specific symptoms, ultimately diagnosed with systemic cystic angiomatosis after an initial misdiagnosis of vascular neoplasia.

Introduction: Giant cell tumor of bone (GCTB) ranks among the most prevalent locally aggressive tumor lesions, displaying a diverse range of biological behaviors. Recurrence of GCTB is well-documented, often attributed to microscopic tumour remnants remaining after intralesional curettage, with increased concern when infection occurs postoperatively. Studies suggest the limited effectiveness of adjuvants in preventing giant cell tumour recurrence, emphasizing the necessity of complete removal of malignant cells.

Intervertebral disc (IVD) degeneration is suspected to affect the distribution of stress and strain near the vertebral endplates and in the underlying bone. This scenario is worsened by the presence of metastatic lesions on the vertebrae (primarily thoracic vertebrae (60-80 %)) which increase the risk of fracture. As such, this study aimed to evaluate the effect of IVD degeneration on the internal volumetric strains and failure modes of human metastatic vertebral bodies.
