: To assess the ploidy status of embryos via preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A), a biopsy of trophectoderm (TE) cells can be performed. However, this approach is considered invasive, and therefore the aim of this study was to identify the optimal sample type and sampling day for non-invasive or minimally invasive PGT-A (ni/miPGT-A) in terms of data quality and concordance rates with TE biopsies derived from the same embryos. : This study was performed using 239 embryo cultures.

This paper presents a Regeneration filter for reducing near Salt-and-Pepper (nS&P) noise in images, designed for selective noise removal while simultaneously preserving structural details. Unlike conventional methods, the proposed filter eliminates the need for median or other filters, focusing exclusively on restoring noise-affected pixels through localized contextual analysis in the immediate surroundings. Our approach employs an iterative processing method, where additional iterations do not degrade the image quality achieved after the first filtration, even with high noise densities up to 97% spatial distribution.

The size of viral genomes is limited, thus the majority of encoded proteins possess multiple functions. The main function of tobamoviral movement protein (MP) is to perform plasmodesmata gating and mediate intercellular transport of the viral RNA. MP is a remarkable example of a protein that, in addition to the initially discovered and most obvious function, carries out numerous activities that are important both for the manifestation of its key function and for successful and productive infection in general.

Chromosomal abnormalities of the embryo are the most common cause of first-trimester pregnancy loss. In this single-center study, we assessed the frequency and the spectrum of chromosomal abnormalities in miscarriages for each year of maternal age from 23 to 44. Cytogenetic data were obtained by conventional karyotyping of 7118 miscarriages in women with naturally conceived pregnancies.

Purpose: Due to the highly individualized clinical manifestation of Parkinson's disease (PD), personalized patient care may require domain-specific assessment of neurological disability. Evidence from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies has proposed that heterogenous clinical manifestation corresponds to heterogeneous cortical disease burden, suggesting customized, high-resolution assessment of cortical pathology as a candidate biomarker for domain-specific assessment.
Method: Herein, we investigate the potential of the recently proposed Mosaic Approach (MAP), a normative framework for quantifying individual cortical disease burden with respect to a population-representative cohort, in predicting domain-specific clinical progression.
