It is challenging to search for high T superconductivity (SC) in transition metal elements wherein d electrons are usually not favored by conventional BCS theory. Here we report experimental discovery of surprising SC up to 310 GPa with T above 20 K in wide pressure range from 108 GPa to 240 GPa in titanium. The maximum T above 26.2 K and zero resistance T of 21 K are record high values hitherto achieved among element superconductors. The H(0) is estimated to be ∼32 Tesla with coherence length 32 Å. The results show strong s-d transfer and d band dominance, indicating correlation driven contributions to high T SC in dense titanium. This finding is in sharp contrast to the theoretical predications based on pristine electron-phonon coupling scenario. The study opens a fresh promising avenue for rational design and discovery of high T superconductors among simple materials via pressure tuned unconventional mechanism.

This paper presents a dataset related to the physical activity behavior of 206 adolescents (107 females and 99 males) from 11 to 16 years old and 25 adults (13 females and 12 males) living in rural (77 adolescents and 15 adults) and urban (129 adolescents and 10 adults) parts of New Caledonia, an archipelago of the South Pacific. Physical behavior was assessed through 60-Hz triaxial GENEActiv accelerometers worn for 5 to 7 consecutive days between July 2018 and April 2019. Participants were randomly recruited at school and trained staff fitted the devices on the nondominant wrist, at which time all were reminded of the expectations while wearing the device.
