We report a subaortic aneurysm of the left ventricle causing compression of a coronary artery in a 52-year-old white man presenting with angina on effort. Endocarditis seemed to be implicated as the cause of this rare condition. To what extent coronary obstruction influenced the development of myocardial ischaemia was not defined since the patient also had aortic valvular disease. The clinical features, diagnostic studies and successful surgical treatment are described.

Aortic pseudoaneurysm is a rare but life-threatening complication following aortic surgery. Although surgical repair remains the gold standard for treatment, alternative approaches such as transcatheter strategies are increasingly considered viable options, particularly in patients with high surgical risk due to comorbidities, anatomical challenges or technical constraints. We present the case of a 72-year-old male patient who developed a subaortic pseudoaneurysm during radiological follow-up after a previous Bentall operation.

Background: Ruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysm (RSoVA) is an uncommon cardiac anomaly that may occasionally coexist with additional congenital heart disease (CHD). The presence of such congenital cardiac anomalies, frequently involving a ventricular septal defect (VSD), is of significant clinical importance and warrants vigilant detection during echocardiographic assessments to prevent oversight.
Case Presentation: Three cases of RSoVA accompanied by VSD are presented in which all patients manifested symptoms of shortness of breath (SOB).
Infective endocarditis (IE) can present in a wide spectrum of systemic signs and symptoms. Here we report a case of a patient who presented with a headache. Upon further investigation, the patient was found to have mitral valve IE.

Objectives: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy with left ventricular apical aneurysm is a phenotype associated with a 4-fold increase in the risk for sudden cardiac death. In this study, we describe the surgical outcome of concomitant apical aneurysm repair in patients undergoing transapical myectomy for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Methods: We identified 67 patients with left ventricular apical aneurysms who underwent transapical myectomy and apical aneurysm repair between July 2000 and August 2020.
