lipase (TLL) was immobilized on epoxy functionalized hydroxyl multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT-OH) via an isocyanide-based multicomponent reaction. The immobilization process was carried out in deionized water (pH 7.0) at room temperature resulting in loading of 600 mg enzyme/g of support with specific activity 16.9 U/mg. An immobilization yield of 100% was obtained with the expressed activity 60%. The immobilized preparation exhibited an increased thermal stability with 49% residual activity at 75 °C compared with 19% for the free enzyme at the same temperature. Solvent stability in a high ratio of DMSO was improved from 52% in free TLL to 75% in immobilized TLL. The immobilized preparation was used for kinetic resolution of rac-ibuprofen through esterification of ibuprofen in isooctane as solvent. The best result was obtained with ethanol at 45 °C and molar ratio of 2.5:1 ethanol:ibuprofen in 1 ml isooctane with 99% ee and E-value 300.

This study involves a novel CuO/CoFe₂O₄/MWCNTs (CCT) nanocomposite, developed by integrating cobalt ferrite (CoFe₂O₄) and copper oxide (CuO) nanoparticles onto multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), for the degradation of tetracycline (TC) under visible light. The photocatalyst was extensively characterized using XRD, HR-SEM, EDX, HR-TEM, UV-Vis, BET, and PL analysis. The synthesized CoFe₂O₄ and CuO nanoparticles exhibited crystallite sizes of 46.

Introduction: This study aimed to evaluate the antimicrobial efficacy of single-walled carbon nanotubes when combined with the commonly used intracanal medicaments by checking their zone of inhibition against .

Materials And Methods: The test materials were divided into five different groups, namely, Group I: single-walled carbon nanotubes; Group II: calcium hydroxide; Group III: chlorhexidine; Group IV: single-walled carbon nanotubes + calcium hydroxide; and Group V: single-walled carbon nanotubes + chlorhexidine. Five sterile Petri plates per group were inoculated with (); wells were made in the plates, one on each side, and a volume of 50 microliters of each solution was dispensed into individual wells using a pipette.

GO/Co-MOF/PPy-350 (GPC-350) was synthesized by in situ growth of ultrafine Co-MOF on graphene oxide (GO), followed by encapsulation with polypyrrole (PPy) and calcination at 350.0℃. Meanwhile, MoS-MWCNTs (MoS-CNTs) were produced via the in situ synthesis of MoS within multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs).

The folate receptor (FR) is a well-known biomarker that is overexpressed in many cancer cells, making it a valuable target for cancer diagnostics and therapeutic strategies. However, identifying cancer biomarkers remains a challenge due to factors such as lengthy procedures, high costs, and low sensitivity. This study presents the development of a novel, cost-effective biosensor designed for the detection of FR.
