In recent years, the use of the adjective "therapeutic" has expanded to encompass a great variety of experiences, blurring the line between what is effectively therapeutic and what is not. Proceeding from the idea that a word's meaning is linked to its use in a particular linguistic game, we will analyse the etymons "therapy" and "psychotherapy" and the change in their meanings over time. This background will guide us in the qualitative analysis of the so-called "therapeutic activities" available on the websites of 14 Italian therapeutic communities for treating addiction. Four main master narratives emerge from our investigation. These are characterised by biomedical assumptions, pedagogical principles, religious precepts, and moral values, respectively. Activities are considered therapeutic per se rather than based on theoretical assumptions regarding change. In the light of our results, the adjective "therapeutic" has become a domain of common sense, which poses the threat of undue reification of the linguistic game that expresses it.

Background: Today more and more people search the web for health-related information, risking to come across misinformation and biased content that may affect their treatment decisions. Cannabidiol (CBD) is among the products for which beneficial effects have been claimed, often at the expense of the risks; further keeping in mind unreliable information reported on products themselves.
Objective: This study evaluated the quality of information retrieved by Google on the potential effects of CBD on weight management, also comparing Italian and English contents, hypothesizing generally low quality and language-driven differences in offered information.

Background: European cancer programmes and policies lack a unified health-related quality of life (HRQoL) assessment tool. In the period between March 2021 and December 2023, our Casa della Salute in Borgaretto (Torino) organized a clinic dedicated to vaccination against Covid-19 in its local and with its staff (medical, nursing and administrative). To try to inform the majority of the population about this activity, we used the social networks of the Casa della Salute (Facebook and website), the social networks of the Municipality of Beinasco and some of the local newspapers. The list of eligible subjects was shared with the ASL TO 3 and the invitation to vaccination was made via SMS from a dedicated platform, indicating the day and time of the appointment.
