We report a case of co-infection with , and due to tooth extraction in a mildly immunosuppressed patient. This patient did not respond well to a meropenem-based regimen, and the number of lesions was significantly reduced after switching to imipenem. The patient's trough concentration was insufficient when using conventional doses of voriconazole for the treatment of pulmonary aspergillosis. After adding omeprazole, the concentration reached standard levels and symptoms improved. The patient eventually made a full recovery.

We present an interesting case of severe ulcerative colitis flare, of challenging management because of a cytomegalovirus co-infection, in which upadacitinib achieved clinical and biochemical remission after poor responses to ganciclovir and tofacitinib.

Scleromyxedema (SM) is a rare primary cutaneous mucinosis characterized by systemic papules and scleroderma-like manifestations, often associated with monoclonal gammopathy. We present the case of a 37-year-old male with SM who developed yellowish plaques on the neck and back over three years. Coccidioidomycosis is an endemic fungal infection caused by the soil-dwelling Coccidioides immitis/posadasii. One prior study showed that persons with diabetes mellitus (DM) with elevated glucose at the time of coccidioidomycosis had poorer coccidioidal outcomes compared to persons without DM. The purpose of this study was to assess the association between hemoglobin A1C (A1C) and outcomes among persons with coccidioidomycosis and co-existing DM.

Background: WHO recommends two annual rounds of mass drug administration (MDA) with ivermectin, diethylcarbamazine, and albendazole (IDA) for lymphatic filariasis (LF) elimination in treatment naïve areas that are not co-endemic for onchocerciasis such as Papua New Guinea (PNG). Whether two rounds of MDA are necessary or sufficient and the optimal sampling strategies and endpoints for stopping MDA remain undefined.
Methods And Findings: Two cross-sectional studies were conducted at baseline (N = 49 clusters or villages) and 12 months after mass drug administration (MDA) with IDA (N = 47 villages) to assess lymphatic filariasis (LF) by circulating filarial antigenemia (CFA) and microfilariae (Mf).
