H production from green-microalgae, for energy purposes, is the ultimate goal of large-scale production. Here, we present a two-phase protocol for hydrogen production assay under ambient conditions using , which eliminates steps used previously, including centrifugation and resuspension with sulfur-deprived media. We detail steps for culture, acetate supply replenishment, anaerobic induction, and H quantification. This protocol enables large-scale experiments in an easy and cost-effective method while maintaining cells vital, crucial factors for transition to industrial scales. For complete details on the use and execution of this protocol, please refer to Elman et al. (2022).

Background And Aims: The rapid evolution of healthcare technology introduced telerehabilitation (TR) as a novel intervention model. TR employs information and communication technologies for remote healthcare delivery. The COVID-19 pandemic prompted a significant increase in TR usage, notably videoconferencing, among physiotherapists in Spain, offering a safe and viable alternative during mobility restrictions and temporary closure of physiotherapy centers.

Background: Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP) is a first-line treatment for OCD, but even when combined with first-line medications it is insufficiently effective for approximately half of patients. Compulsivity in OCD is thought to arise from an imbalance of two distinct neural circuits associated with specific subregions of striatum. Targeted modulation of these circuits via key cortical nodes (dorsolateral prefrontal cortex [dlPFC] or presupplementary motor area [pSMA]) has the potential to improve ERP efficacy by decreasing compulsions during therapy.

There have been few recent innovations since the introduction of cardioplegia more than 50 years ago. Surprisingly, cardioplegia as one of the most essential steps in terms of heart muscle protection during a surgical procedure requiring cardiac arrest has never been really standardized. As a consequence, a considerable variety of cardioplegic solutions and applications have developed: cold versus warm, crystalloid versus blood cardioplegia, antegrade versus retrograde or both, as well as different time schedules for repeated administration.

Apoptosis is a major driver of cell loss and infarct expansion in ischemic injuries such as acute ischemic stroke (AIS) and acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) can mitigate cell death and potentiate recovery following acute ischemic injury, but short half-life and nonspecificity limit its therapeutic potential. Scp776 is an IGF-1 fusion protein designed to target damaged tissue and promote apoptosis escape and is in clinical development as an acute therapy for AIS and AMI.

Quantum Speed Limit in Quantum Sensing.

Quantum sensors capitalize on advanced control sequences for maximizing sensitivity and precision. However, protocols are not usually optimized for temporal resolution. Here, we establish the limits for time-resolved sensing of dynamical signals using qubit probes.
