An increase in the amount of the middle molecular peptide (MM) fraction in the blood serum of rats with experimental toxic hepatitis and normalization of the MM pool after the administration of the amino acid mixture Alvesin "Novy" are shown. The chromatographic spectra of the MM fraction in normal and experimental animals are compared.

Background: Maternal hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) was associated with increased risk of congenital hypothyroidism in preterm infants, but its underlying mechanisms remain unclear.

Objective: To investigate the possible mechanisms by which intrauterine exposure to HDP affects thyroid hormone synthesis in preterm infant rats.

Methods: preterm infant rats were obtained by Caesarean section delivery from the L-NAME group and Control groups which was induced by L-NAME and saline, respectively.

Gengnianchun (GNC) is a traditional remedy used for diminished ovarian reserve, but its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study aimed to explore these mechanisms in human granulosa-like cancer (KGN) cells pretreated with medicated rat serum (MRS) before HO exposure. MRS pretreatment significantly alleviated HO-induced cell damage, including improvements in cell viability, superoxide dismutase and GSH-Px activities, and Bcl-2 expression.

Objectives: Perchlorates, nitrates, and thiocyanates constitute environmental endocrine disruptors; however, health damage caused by absorption through the respiratory tract remains poorly studied. We investigated the effects of inhalation of these pollutants on thyroid function and structure and serum metabolomics in pregnant rats.

Methods: We established a Sprague-Dawley pregnant rat model exposed to perchlorate, nitrate, and thiocyanate at different gestational stages and compared maternal serum thyroid function levels, foetal development, thyroid morphology, and pathological changes between exposed and non-exposed groups at different concentrations.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most frequent cause of dementia. Since there are complex pathophysiological mechanisms behind AD, and there is no effective treatment strategy, it is necessary to introduce novel multi-targeting agents with fewer side effects and higher efficacy. Polydatin (PD) is a naturally occurring resveratrol glucoside employing multiple mechanisms toward neuroprotection.

Hypertension is a major risk factor for many cardiovascular diseases, which can lead to kidney and heart disease, stroke, and premature death. Inhibiting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) activity is an effective method to relieve hypertension. Previously, we screened an active peptide KYPHVF (KF6) from Boletus griseus-Hypomyces chrysospermus with excellent ACE inhibitory activity.
