Two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides, such as MoS, are intensely studied for applications in electronics. However, the difficulty of depositing large-area films of sufficient quality under application-relevant conditions remains a major challenge. Herein, we demonstrate deposition of polycrystalline, wafer-scale MoS, TiS, and WS films of controlled thickness at record-low temperatures down to 100 °C using plasma-enhanced atomic layer deposition. We show that preventing excess sulfur incorporation from HS-based plasma is the key to deposition of crystalline films, which can be achieved by adding H to the plasma feed gas. Film composition, crystallinity, growth, morphology, and electrical properties of MoS films prepared within a broad range of deposition conditions have been systematically characterized. Film characteristics are correlated with results of field-effect transistors based on MoS films deposited at 100 °C. The capability to deposit MoS on poly(ethylene terephthalate) substrates showcases the potential of our process for flexible devices. Furthermore, the composition control achieved by tailoring plasma chemistry is relevant for all low-temperature plasma-enhanced deposition processes of metal chalcogenides.

(Objectives) The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effect of half-replacement of the supplementary sulfate sources of Cu, Mn, and Zn with methionine-hydroxy-analog-chelated (MHAC) mineral or amino-acid-complexed (AAC) mineral forms in diets on the mineral status, blood immune biomarkers, and lameness of lactating cows. (Methods) Sixty multiparous Holstein cows (158 ± 26 days in milk; body weight: 665 ± 52 kg; milk yield: 32 ± 7 kg/day) were randomly assigned into one of three dietary treatments ( = 20 per group): (1) MHAC: 50% replacement of sulfate minerals with MHAC forms. (2) AAC: 50% replacement of sulfate minerals with AAC forms.

In order to investigate the bacterial species present in the conjunctival sacs of dogs with bacterial conjunctivitis in Wuhan (Hongshan District, Wuchang District, Jiangxia District, and Huangpi District) and their resistance to aminoglycoside antibiotics, samples of conjunctival sac secretions were collected from 56 dogs with bacterial conjunctivitis in various regions of Wuhan. Drug susceptibility testing for aminoglycoside antibiotics was performed on the most commonly isolated gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. The expression of two aminoglycoside modifying enzyme genes, and , and three 16S rRNA methyltransferase genes, , and , were analyzed by PCR.

Background: Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a significant opportunistic pathogen, especially in hospital-acquired infections, with plasmid-mediated fluoroquinolone resistance posing a major healthcare threat. This research aimed to isolate fluoroquinolone-resistant P. aeruginosa from patients at Aleppo University Hospital, assess the prevalence of fluoroquinolone resistance, confirm molecular identity, identify plasmid-associated resistance genes, and investigate virulence factors.

Introduction: Escherichia coli has emerged as an important pathogen in urinary tract infections (UTIs) due to the rapid acquisition of antibiotic resistance genes. This enhances the ability of E. coli to colonize and creates therapeutic challenges within the healthcare system.

Chromosome instability is a prevalent vulnerability of cancer cells that has yet to be fully exploited therapeutically. To identify genes uniquely essential to chromosomally unstable cells, we mined the Cancer Dependency Map for genes essential in tumor cells with high levels of copy number aberrations. We identify and validate KIF18A, a mitotic kinesin, as a vulnerability of chromosomally unstable cancer cells.
