Background: Vaccination rates among individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI) could be improved if it can be shown that vaccination performed on insensate areas is effective. This would eliminate the the risk of discomfort and soreness at the injection site.
Objective: To determine whether immune responsiveness varies between areas with intact and impaired innervation in patients with stroke-related paresis.

Objective: This paper reports the effects of naturally occurring levels of distress on the development of delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) skin test responses. These in vivo measures provide a biologically relevant assessment of cellular immune competence.
Methods: Subjects (N = 166) were immunized (baseline) with the novel antigen, keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH), and DTH skin test responses against KLH were assessed 3 weeks later (follow-up).

This study investigated in-vivo cell-mediated immune (CMI) responses in elite swimmers over a 5-month training season, to assess the impact of intense training on changes in T-lymphocyte function. The CMI Multitest was performed early in the season after a period of rest, during peak high-intensity training, and late in the season during the precompetition taper period. The CMI tests were performed at rest prior to a morning training session.

Objective: To evaluate clinical and immunological abnormalities in patients with Takayasu's arteritis (TA) from India, with particular reference to autoimmune perturbations and abnormalities in T cell subsets (CD4 and CD8 cells).
Methods: 16 consecutive patients with TA (11 females and 5 males) underwent clinical and laboratory evaluation inclusive of flow cytometric analysis of T cell subsets (CD4 and CD8). A control population of 94 age- and sex-matched blood donors was used to determine the normal T cell subsets.

Background: Acute respiratory infection (ARI), diarrheal disease (DD) and infective dermatitis (ID) are important causes of morbidity in children under five, in Northeast Brazil.
Objectives: (a) to evaluate the morbidity of ARI, DD and ID; and (b) to determine their association with cellular immunity in poor urban children from Fortaleza, Brazil.
Materials And Methods: A prospective cohort study.
