Cancer is the leading cause of death in the world. Curcumin is the main ingredient in turmeric ( L.), and is widely used in the food industry. It shows anticancer properties on different types of cancers, and the underlying mechanisms of action include inhibiting cell proliferation, suppressing invasion and migration, promoting cell apoptosis, inducing autophagy, decreasing cancer stemness, increasing reactive oxygen species production, reducing inflammation, triggering ferroptosis, regulating gut microbiota, and adjuvant therapy. In addition, the anticancer action of curcumin is demonstrated in clinical trials. Moreover, the poor water solubility and low bioavailability of curcumin can be improved by a variety of nanotechnologies, which will promote its clinical effects. Furthermore, although curcumin shows some adverse effects, such as diarrhea and nausea, it is generally safe and tolerable. This paper is an updated review of the prevention and management of cancers by curcumin with a special attention to its mechanisms of action.

Methods: Humanitarian HCPs were interviewed about perspectives on children's palliative care and preferences and needs for training. Interviews were transcribed, coded, and arranged into overarching themes.
Avascular necrosis (AVN) is a known complication during the management of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). It has the potential to alter the growth of the head or acetabulum and prevent the best outcomes. While past literature has evaluated the risks of AVN and strategies to avoid it, studies on the impact of AVN on the outcomes are scarce.

We report a case of an industrial homeworker diagnosed with allergic contact dermatitis by UV-curing acrylic resin for crafts. Approximately 2 months after a female in her 40s started producing handicrafts using resin, itchy desquamative erythema and vesicles occurred on her eyelids and palms. The course of the symptoms suggested that her dermatitis was occupational origin.

For managing peri-implantitis, a variety of treatment modalities involving both surgical and nonsurgical methods including implantoplasty have been proposed. Implants that are placed in a free fibula flap are more prone to peri-implantitis due to the absence of firm, keratinized mucosa. Prosthetic design that offers adequate hygiene access should be designed whenever possible; otherwise, it may lead to the accumulation of plaque or biofilm that may lead to peri-implant diseases.

Results: Globally, there were 19,072 incident cases of Burkitt lymphoma in 2021.
