18 patients underwent CT-investigation with bolus injection of contrast medium 5 to 11 years after splenorenal Warren shunt. According to this investigation all patients were found to have developed hepatofugal collaterals in consequence of distal splenorenal anastomotic suction. In most cases the portal liver perfusion was maintained. These effects are not homogeneous and show variations from patient to patient.

Purpose: This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of alternative autologous vessel grafts in creating a Meso-Rex bypass (MRB) compared to the distal splenorenal shunt (DSRS) in resolving symptoms of portal hypertension in children.
Methods: All children with EHPVO evaluated for surgery at Siriraj Hospital from January 2011 to December 2023 were reviewed. Alternative autologous vessel grafts were used in all cases where MRB was feasible.

Background: The rising diffusion of vascular resections during complex pancreatectomy for malignancy, for both oncological and technical matters, brought with it the use of vascular shunts, either temporary or definitive, to prevent bowel congestion and liver ischemia. This study aimed to systematically review the literature on the technical feasibility of vascular shunts during advanced pancreatic surgery, analyzing intraoperative and postoperative outcomes.
Methods: A systematic literature search was performed on PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library Central, according to PRISMA guidelines.
multiple studies showed important benefices arising from splenic preservation in patients with digestive cancer in general and gastric cancer in particular. The minimally invasive approach remains controversial in locally advanced gastric cancer cases whilst the open approach still has an important role. This paper's aim is to describe and present the feasibility of an open surgical technique that allows removing stations 10 together with 11p and 11d with spleen and splenic vessels preservation in pacients operated upon by open surgery.
