Research is ongoing to develop new phosphors capable of emitting light across a broad spectrum, ranging from the ultraviolet (UV) to the infrared region, with potential applications in diverse fields. Using the method of solid-state reactions, a series of LiBaF:Pr phosphors were obtained, and their luminescent properties in the UV-visible range were studied. The photon cascade emission (PCE) phenomenon has been observed under excitation of the 4f5d bands of Pr.

Sea surface displacement (SSD) is a crucial parameter in environmental engineering. The measurements of SSD are susceptible to the failure of instruments and equipment, data losses, and other unpredictable events. In this study, we developed an innovative nonlinear regression trees (NRT) technique to retrieve the missing data of SSD.

This study investigates a series of surface-active ionic liquids (SAILs), including both imidazolium monocationic and dicationic compounds. These compounds are promising candidates, as they combine unique surface properties with antimicrobial activity, aligning with modern trends in chemistry. The research encompasses synthesis, thermal analysis, and topographical assessment, focusing on the impact of the amphiphilic cationic moiety, alkyl chain length, and the spatial relationship between the imidazolium ring and the phenyl substituent on the compounds' physicochemical behavior.
