The efficient energy transfer in LaGaGeO:Cr, Yb/Nd and LaGaGeO:Cr, Yb, Nd was investigated in detail. In this phosphor, Cr acts as the energy absorber (250-700 nm) to sensitize Yb/Nd in LaGaGeO. Under excitation at 418 nm, LaGaGeO:Cr, Yb phosphors exhibited a broad emission band in the near-infrared (NIR) region located at 976 nm (LaGaGeO:Cr, Nd at 1056 nm), which was attributed to the F-F transition of the Yb ions (F → I transition of Nd). Moreover, a Nd ion was introduced into LaGaGeO:Cr, Yb. The analysis of excitation spectra and decay time proves that Nd acts as a bridging ion in the system. This can be used as a new strategy to enhance the energy transfer in Cr, Yb co-doped phosphors, and these phosphors have potential applications in NIR spectroscopy regulation.

The current investigation explores tri-hybrid mediated blood flow through a ciliary annular model, designed to emulate an endoscopic environment. The human circulatory system, driven by the metachronal ciliary waves, is examined in this study to understand how ternary nanoparticles influence wave-like flow dynamics in the presence of interfacial nanolayers. We also analyze the effect of an induced magnetic field on Ag-Cu-/blood flow within the annulus, focusing on thermal radiation, heat sources, buoyancy forces and ciliary motion.

Local Environment-Modulated f-f Transition in Unit-Cell-Sized Lanthanide Ultrathin Nanostructures.

ACS Nano

The regulation of the f-f transition is the basis of utilizing the abundant optical properties of lanthanide (Ln), of which the key is to modulate the local environment of Ln ions. Here, we constructed Eu(III)-based unit-cell-sized ultrathin nanowires (UCNWs) with red luminescence and polymer-like behavior, which appears as an ideal carrier for regulating f-f transition. The f-f transition of Eu(III) in UCNWs could be precisely regulated through various ligands.

Spectroscopic study of energy transfer in collisions between vibrational excited H2 and CO2.

J Chem Phys

December 2024

Xinjiang Key Laboratory of Solid State Physics and Devices, Xinjiang University, Urumqi 830017, China.

The collisional energy transfer between vibrational excited H2(1, 7) and CO2 was investigated by exciting H2 to a vibrational excited state of v = 1, J = 7 by the stimulated Raman scattering technique. The coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) technique determined that H2 was excited to the H2(1, 7) state. Varying the cuvette temperature, the number of H2(1, 7) particles was found to increase with the increase in H2 molar ratio α by scanning the intensity of the CARS spectrum, with peaks at different α at a temperature of 363 ± 15 K, but the peak temperature was not sensitive to α.
