Locoregional recurrence of breast cancer continues to be a significant clinical issue involving extensive examination programmes, modified oncologic therapy and advanced surgery. The latter includes tumour resection followed by reconstruction of the thoracic wall. The type of reconstruction depends on tumour location, depth, aetiology and whether the resection involves the stabilising osseous structures as summarised in this review. The treatment strategy is planned at multidisciplinary team conferences with the presence of relevant specialists to ensure evidence-based treatment of consistent quality.

Aim: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and microwave ablation (MWA) for treating cervical lymph node metastasis (CLNM) from papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).
Methods: Medline, EMBASE, Web of Science, and Cochrane Library were searched for studies on the efficacy and safety of thermal ablations for treating CLNM from PTC until July 2024. Among 544 papers, 11 articles were reviewed involving 233 patients and 432 CLNM cases.

Objective: In recent years, many studies have investigated the triggers, perpetuating factors, and outcomes of Fear of Cancer Recurrence (FCR), highlighting its complexity with multiple dimensions that encompass both antecedents and consequences. In this sense, the cognitive approach to FCR has explored variables such as metacognition, maladaptive coping strategies, and intolerance of uncertainty (IU). On the other hand, the findings of a restricted number of studies investigating the relationship between FCR and stated variables appear to be inconsistent.

Background: Compared to older adults with breast cancer (BC), adolescents and young adults (AYAs) develop more aggressive disease necessitating more intensive therapy with curative intent, which is disruptive to planned life trajectories. The burden of unmet needs among AYA BC survivors exists in two domains: (1) symptoms (e.g.

Although breast cancer treatment has evolved significantly in recent years, drug resistance remains a major challenge. To identify new targets for breast cancer, we found that stage-specific embryonic antigen 4 (SSEA-4) is expressed in all subtypes of breast cancer cell lines, and the increased expression of the associated enzymes β3GalT5 and ST3Gal2 correlates with poor recurrence-free survival (RFS) in breast cancer. We also found that SSEA-4 antibodies can be rapidly internalized into breast cancer cells, a property that makes SSEA-4 an attractive target for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).

Introduction: Locally advanced breast cancer (LABC) accounts for 5 % of new breast cancer diagnoses in developed countries and 30-60 % in developing regions. Historically, treatment relied on mastectomy guided by the Halstedian theory. Advances in neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT), breast-conserving surgery (BCS), and radiation have transformed treatment into a multimodal approach.
