A gelatin-binding glycoprotein from L6 rat myoblasts, designated gp46, was shown to be phosphorylated in vivo. This phosphorylation was increased slightly (18%) by phorbol ester treatment of L6 suggesting protein kinase C involvement. Purified gp46 could be phosphorylated in vitro with protein kinase C, but not by the catalytic subunit of cAMP-dependent protein kinase. Comparison of the phosphotryptic peptide maps of in vitro and in vivo labeled gp46 suggested that in vivo phosphorylation of gp46 may be mediated by protein kinase C.

This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of gilteritinib combined with chemotherapy in treating newly diagnosed FLT3-mutated acute myeloid leukemia (AML). We retrospectively collected clinical data from 16 patients newly diagnosed with FLT3-mutated AML at Jiangsu Province Hospital. Patients received induction therapy with the classic "3 + 7" regimen or the VA regimen, and all patients were immediately supplied with gilteritinib after detecting FLT3-ITD/TKD mutations.

This study presents a comprehensive examination of the physiological adaptations of white shrimp (Penaeus vannamei) to low-salinity conditions and evaluates the effects of supplementing dietary glucose on disease resistance. Compared to the control group, shrimp cultured at a salinity of 4 psu exhibit significantly elevated expression levels of adenosine 5'-monophosphate-activated protein kinase (AMPK) in the hepatopancreas, which leads to increased energy expenditure and a corresponding reduction in resistance to infection by Vibrio alginolyticus. The suppression of AMPK via dsAMPK treatment markedly enhances disease resistance.

Low-temperature injury affects normal physiological function and viability of boar sperm during cryopreservation. Small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) modification of proteins after translation is related to the cell stress response but the relationship between SUMO modification and oxidative stress in freeze-thawed sperm remains unclear. A-kinase ankyrin 4 (AKAP4) and its precursor proAKAP4 are two main proteins in mammalian sperm.

Twinfilin is an evolutionarily conserved actin-binding protein initially mischaracterized as a tyrosine kinase but later recognized as a key regulator of cellular actin dynamics. As a member of the ADF-H family, twinfilin binds both actin monomers and filaments. Its role in sequestering G-actin is well-established, but its effects on actin filaments have been debated.

Zika virus (ZIKV) infection during pregnancy can cause congenital Zika virus syndrome (CZV), including fetal growth restriction and death. In the developing placenta, trophoblast cells respond to epidermal growth factor (EGF) to migrate into the decidua to facilitate implantation and fetal development. EGF activates the Akt protein kinase, a master regulator of trophoblast cell migration.
