This article examines the recent implementation of Universal School Meals (USM) programs in several US states in the context of the increasing influence of neoliberalism in the public schooling system. By subverting a neoliberal paradigm, USM programs disrupt prevailing narratives of poverty and work to reclaim education's central place in the public sphere. A systems-thinking analysis of this issue reveals USM programs to be a powerful leverage point for change.

The intersection of queer identity and psychedelics has not been thoroughly explored by the research community, historically or in the present day. With growing access to legal psychedelic therapies, it is essential that queer psychedelic experiences are understood sufficiently by clinicians in order to provide the most safe and effective care possible. Psychedelics and queerness are intricately related, and there is strong interest in the use of psychedelics for healing and identity development among queer populations.

Bereavement during childhood impacts children's wellbeing and biopsychosocial development. Research examining impacts and outcomes of childhood bereavement and supportive interventions has highlighted a myriad of factors that influence children's unique, complex experiences of grief, necessitating a personalized, child-centred approach. Children's grief support is underpinned by well-established grief theories studied primarily in adult populations, and stage-based developmental theories that characterise child development as "normative" and universal.
