Encrustation significantly affects the lifespan of Allium stents. Currently, there is no established treatment for Allium ureteral stent encrustation. Department of Urology, Beijing Tsinghua Changgung Hospital, School of Clinical Medicine, Tsinghua University, No. 168 Litang Road, Changping District, Beijing, 102218, China.

Ureteral obstruction is a prevalent urological condition associated with significant complications. The purpose of our study was to assess the safety and efficacy of a novel self-expanding, large caliber, biocompatible polymer-coated ureteral stent (Allium) for the treatment of ureteral obstructions. We conducted a retrospective analysis of data from patients who underwent Allium ureteral stent placement at our institute between November 2018 and May 2023.
