Various electronically excited states and the feasibility of direct laser cooling of SH, SeH, and TeH are investigated using the highly accurate ab initio and dynamical methods. For the detailed calculations of the seven low-lying Λ-S states of SH, we utilized the internally contracted multireference configuration interaction approach, considering the spin-orbit coupling (SOC) effects. Our calculated spectroscopic constants are in very good agreement with the available experimental results.

Faces-the most common and complex stimuli in our daily lives-contain multidimensional information used to infer social attributes that guide consequential behaviors, such as deciding who to trust. Decades of research illustrates that perceptual information from faces is processed holistically. An open question, however, is whether goals might impact this perceptual process, influencing the encoding and representation of the complex social information embedded in faces.

RNA recognition motifs (RRMs) are a key class of proteins that primarily bind single-stranded RNAs. In this study, we applied standard atomistic molecular dynamics simulations to obtain insights into the intricate binding dynamics between uridine-rich RNAs and TbRGG2 RRM using the recently developed OL3-Stafix AMBER force field, which improves the description of single-stranded RNA molecules. Complementing structural experiments that unveil a primary binding mode with a single uridine bound, our simulations uncover two supplementary binding modes in which adjacent nucleotides encroach upon the binding pocket.

The accuracy of assigning fluorophore identity and abundance, known as spectral unmixing, in biological fluorescence microscopy images remains a significant challenge due to the substantial overlap in emission spectra among fluorophores. In traditional laser scanning confocal spectral microscopy, fluorophore information is acquired by recording emission spectra with a single combination of discrete excitation wavelengths. However, organic fluorophores possess characteristic excitation spectra in addition to their unique emission spectral signatures.

Purpose Of Review: Our review critically examines research on trends in mental health among US adults following the COVID-19 pandemic's onset and makes recommendations for research on the topic.
Recent Findings: Studies comparing pre-pandemic nationally representative government surveys ("benchmark surveys") with pandemic-era non-benchmark surveys generally estimated 3-4-fold increases in the prevalence of adverse mental-health outcomes following the pandemic's onset. However, studies analyzing trends in repeated waves of a single survey, which may carry a lower risk of bias, generally estimated much smaller increases in adverse outcomes.
