Unlabelled: Trade changes incentives to protect an open-access natural resource independently of its effect on the resource price. General equilibrium linkages cause resource policy to affect the price of privately owned assets regardless of whether they are used in the resource sector. In the closed economy, the asset market in our overlapping generations setting creates incentives for currently living agents to protect the natural resource. The interplay of the asset market and general equilibrium effects causes trade to reverse these incentives. Trade liberalization and the establishment of formal property rights are policy complements: the former makes the latter more important.

Legacy contaminants tied to energy production are a worldwide concern. Coal combustion residues (CCRs) contain high concentrations of potentially toxic trace elements such as arsenic (As), mercury (Hg), and selenium (Se), which can persist for decades after initial contamination. CCR disposal methods, including aquatic settling basins and landfills, can facilitate environmental exposure through intentional and accidental releases.

The widespread concern over nanoplastics (NPs) has prompted extensive research into their environmental impact. Concurrently, the study examined the combined toxicity of PS NPs and cadmium (Cd) on wheat. As indicated by the results of in situ Micro-ATR/FTIR, the aging process of PS NPs (50 nm) led to an increase in carbonyl and hydroxyl groups on their surface, enhancing hydrophilicity and consequently, the adsorption capacity for Cd.

The pollutants after were discharged into the water can gradually degrade through the self-purification. The oxygen consumption and pollutant degradation rates characterize the self-purification of small and medium-sized streams, while the dynamics of the two characteristics for large rivers has not been reported yet. The in-situ investigation for 297 sites in the 1700 km stream of the Yangtze River was conducted.

Sediment cores were collected from the nearshore to bay mouth region in Daya Bay, aiming to describe the historical patterns of heavy metals deposition in the sediment. During the last 40 years, the heavy metals exhibited significant different deposition behaviors in the sediment, in which As, Zn, Cr were more enriched and contributed to metals pollution in this area. Moreover, heavy metals deposition exhibited completely opposite behaviors from the nearshore to bay mouth region.

Purpose: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a common primary hepatic tumors with a 5-year survival rate of less than 20%. Therefore, it is crucial to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of ICC. Recently, the advance of high-throughput chromosome conformation capture (Hi-C) technology help us look insight into the three-dimensional (3D) genome structure variation during tumorigenesis.
