Classical dynamical density functional theory (DDFT) has become one of the central modeling approaches in nonequilibrium soft matter physics. Recent years have seen the emergence of novel and interesting fields of application for DDFT. In particular, there has been a remarkable growth in the amount of work related to chemistry. Moreover, DDFT has stimulated research on other theories such as phase field crystal models and power functional theory. In this perspective, we summarize the latest developments in the field of DDFT and discuss a variety of possible directions for future research.

The impact of different turbulence on beams can be seen as optical distortions caused by refractive index fluctuations around vortices in turbulence. Therefore, from the perspective of transmission effects, the transmission outcomes of beam in different turbulences can be mutually equivalent. Since the mechanisms of beam propagation in compressible turbulence are not yet fully understood and the relevant theories are not well-established, a preliminary analysis of beam transmission in compressible turbulence is necessary.

The Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) mission is designed to detect space gravitational wave sources in the millihertz band. A critical factor in the success of this mission is the residual acceleration noise metric of the internal test mass (TM) within the ultra-precise inertial sensors. Existing studies indicate that the coupling effects of residual gas and temperature gradient fluctuations significantly influence this metric, primarily manifesting as the radiometer effect and the outgassing effect.

Social cognition, which ranges from recognizing social cues to intricate inferential reasoning, is influenced by environmental factors and epigenetic mechanisms. Notably, methylation variations in stress-related genes like brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and the oxytocin receptor (OXTR) are linked to distinct social cognitive functions and exhibit sex-specific differences. This study investigates how these methylation differences affect social cognition across sexes, focusing on both perceptual and inferential cognitive levels.
