Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is a member of the TGF-β superfamily produced by follicular granulosa cells in women and cattle and is considered an endocrine biomarker of ovarian follicular reserve. The study examined how age and parity influence serum AMH concentration and investigated the presence of single nucleotide polymorphisms in AMH gene in Bos indicus breeds viz Malnad Gidda Amritmahal and Hallikar. All five exons of AMH gene amplified by polymerase chain reaction were subjected to sanger sequencing and identified important SNP and its effects. We observed a highly significant relationship between parity and AMH concentration in Amritmahal cattle, whereas Malnad Gidda and Hallikar breeds did not show a significant difference. We identified one SNP located in exon 5 (rs21402788) with base change A>G, a non-synonymous mutation resulting in a change in amino acid Q>R and the protein product. It is concluded that AMH level could be considered as an indicator of the ovarian reserve and productive herd life (longevity) irrespective of age/parity, especially in B. indicus breeds of cattle.

Ovarian agenesis (OA) is a rare congenital condition characterized by the absence of one or both ovaries, often associated with chromosomal abnormalities, hormonal imbalances, and structural deformities. The condition is frequently diagnosed in females presenting with primary amenorrhea and delayed sexual development. This case report highlights a unique presentation of bilateral ovarian agenesis in a patient with chromosome X translocation, bone modeling disease, and primary amenorrhea.

This study investigated the influence of two in vitro fertilization (IVF) protocols-controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) and a modified natural cycle protocol-on gene expression levels (Anti-Müllerian Hormone (), Anti-Müllerian Hormone Receptor Type 2 (), Follicle-Stimulating Hormone Receptor (), and Androgen Receptor ()) and the subsequent reproductive outcomes of assisted reproductive technology (ART). Gene expression, as well as oocyte, zygote, and embryo morphological parameters, were analyzed to evaluate the differences between the protocols. Our findings show that expression was significantly associated with successful fertilization, while expression correlated with improved embryo transfer outcomes.

Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) plays an important role in avian ovarian follicle development. The high mRNA expression of AMH in avian ovarian prehierarchical follicles helps prevent premature granulosa cell differentiation.
